Please Join Us for the Civil Society Organization/African Women’s Entrepreneurship Program (AWEP) Session of the 17th Annual United States - Sub-Saharan Africa Trade and Economic Cooperation Forum (also known as the AGOA Forum) at the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) in Washington, DC 20036. 

The theme of this year's event is: "
The Role of Civil Society Organizations in Expanding U.S.- Africa Trade and Investment", and the event will offer seminars, a workshop on developing an AGOA Country Utilization Plan for Civil Society networking,  a visit to Capitol Hill,  museums and  other historical sites in the United States capitol.  

The  event begins on 9 July with  an Opening Ceremony, award presentation,   and a  panel on New Strategies for U.S. –Africa Trade and Investment, followed by sessions on micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) development under AGOA; the roles of Women, Youth, Labor, and  the Diaspora in expanding US-Sub-Saharan Africa trade and investment;  and a working session to  prepare the Communique and  Recommendations for the Read-out  during the Ministerial Session on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the State Department.  The event concludes with a visit to Capitol Hill for a Congressional discussion on AGOA, and  site visits to museums and  other historical sites in our nations' capitol.

Please note: Capacity is limited, and you must register and pay registration fees, not later than June 30, 2018. The event is taking place in a secure facility, and you must register in advance; we will not conduct onsite registration for this event.

Registration will automatically close on June 30, 2018 or when we reach capacity.
